Dear Supporters,
Mountain Communities for Responsible Energy has access to respected experts and a
brilliant legal team. We fully intend to pursue the many legal avenues still available to prevent an entire 124 forty-story wind turbine project from going up in Greenbrier County.
All we need is financial support. The photos above come from the recently operational (86 turbine) Invenergy Forward Wind Project, located just two miles from the globally important Horicon Marsh Wildlife Preserve in Wisconsin. The noise issue is so bad several of these new homes are up for sale, but who would want one? Gerry Meyer, a retired mail carrier near this Invenergy project in Brownsville, WI says from his property he can now see four wind turbine projects. Not four turbines, but four separate turbine projects each containing 41-88 wind turbines, and he warns us not to let Invenergy into our county.
Just this week I was contacted by a resident near East River Mountain in Tazewell County, Virginia. Invenergy’s, Dave Groberg has been working under the radar there to get approval for a new 60-80 industrial wind turbine project.
Before it’s too late, make a contribution online at MCRE’s newly updated website: www.wvmcre.org or mailed to: MCRE, PO Box 1, Williamsburg, WV 24991.
Your front line of defense against industrial wind turbine proliferation in Greenbrier County thanks you gratefully for your support.
